What should every freshman at Morgan State University know before they start?

I would tell myself that the first two years are the most crucuial. To start off and get on the right track early will give you the chance to finish early and be ahead of the curve. waiting to see where everyone else is will be no benefit to your success. Focus and grab lif by the horn.

Advice i would give myself would be to put more resaerch in the major that i was interested in. I say this because the major i chose was not really something that i was interested in and ended up having to change it.

If I could go back to my high schol senior year, I would just change my academic performance. If I would have performed better in high school, than the studious asset of college would not be as difficult. I see college as a priviledge and not a "given". This just makes me strike for further excellence rather than settling for less as I did in my past High School years.

Diana, you won't believe the way time flies. You'll be graduating soon and hearing about some of your classmates receiving scholarships to this college and that university and think, "Well, I could have done that." and "That could/should/would have been me had I applied myself like everyone said." Well today, I'm saying yes, it can still be you collecting scholarships left and right, yes you can make it through school, and yes, you do have the potential to succeed. In fact, you are PREGNANT with potential!!! But none of this will matter or do any good if you don't have the focus and zeal you need to push you ahead. I know you want to just rush and get your education over with, but learn to exercise patience , take your time (but not too much) to really absorb the knowledge and information given and learn ways to apply your learning as much as possible to your life. Learn not just for qualifications but for the desire to learn more. Most importantly, don't be envious of anyone else's progress, celebrate with them, but stick to your own path and reach your ultimate potential.

I would tell myself to make sure I study hard and dream big. If I dream it I can achieve it. I would also tell myself not to give up and make sure I use all resources available to me such as teachers and other classmates.

If I were able to go back to my high school years as a senior, I would tell myself that I need not procrastinate about doing my work, I need to take more time out of my day and study, and I need to be more social with friends and professors. I would also remind myself this is free college you have to pay for and its not a joke.

Get you finance situated! Dont waste time and apply o schools early. Its ok for you to meet new people and interac with them. Be your self and stay positive.

Reonna

The advide i would give myself would be to apply for scholarships early and grants. College grants and scholarships get kind of limited once you get into the school year so do alot of the things before hand. I would tell myself to get ready to study and work hard to acheieve your goal rather than trying to be cool and slide through!

Work harder to get better study skills so you can be prepared for the vigorious college life of an honors student.

The advice I would give myself is that I would make sure I would do all my housing and finacial aid immediately because woth my school it is first come, first serve basis and it shouldn't be that way so to avoid problems. I would definitely get my priorities in line and study harder to get my g.p.a up to qualify for scholarships, grants, and loans.
