As a student at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC), I've had the chance to experience first-hand what makes this institution stand out. One of the aspects I appreciate most about OCCC is the supportive and dedicated faculty. The professors genuinely care about their students' success and are always willing to offer extra help during office hours or through email. This level of attention has made my learning experience both positive and rewarding. Another highlight of OCCC is its affordability. Compared to other colleges, the tuition here is reasonable, which has been a significant relief for me financially. The college offers various scholarships and financial aid options, making it accessible for many students. This commitment to affordability without compromising the quality of education is commendable. The campus itself is well-maintained and provides a welcoming environment for students. There are plenty of resources available, such as the library, computer labs, and tutoring centers, which are invaluable for academic support. The Student Life programs are diverse and engaging, offering numerous clubs and activities that cater to a wide range of interests. This vibrant campus life has helped me connect with other students and feel more involved in the college community. However, like any institution, there are areas where OCCC could improve. Some students have mentioned that the parking situation can be challenging during peak times, and I've experienced this as well. Additionally, while the online courses are convenient, there can be occasional technical issues that disrupt the learning process. Overall, my experience at Oklahoma City Community College has been overwhelmingly positive. The combination of excellent faculty, affordability, and a supportive campus environment makes OCCC a fantastic choice for anyone looking to further their education. I'm grateful for the opportunities and experiences I've had here, and I would highly recommend OCCC to prospective students.

Professors are very nice and knowledgeable, for the most part, and keep regular office hours. Professors reply to emails quickly, but the advising department is slower to respond. There are a few clubs but they are small, although there is a club fair at the beginning of the year. There's many activities to attend and a cafeteria with weekly different options. Most classes are lower-level, it being a community college, so there isn't much challenge, which can be boring but it means the work is easy.

Its a very decent to to attend. I've had my fair share of good professors and bad ones. Many professor are dedicated to helping students and many are available pretty often. There are many spots to study and do research in and the campus is well maintained.

I’m doing mostly online, but from what I’ve seen it’s a great college and the professors are very helpful. Some of them take time out of the office hours to help me and I like that a lot. They also offer a lot of services on campus and a lot of help for the people in need. Overall it’s a great community college and I would recommend it.

I can't think of anything I wish I had known before attending OCCC. I did my research fairly well, and talked to several people about the pros and cons of going there. I suppose one thing would be the transfer equivalency to other colleges, because I am still not certain about the transferability of some classes.

The most frustrating thing about OCCC is trying to communicate with the financial aid department. They employ students to run the front desk and if you have any issue besides the most popular... it is a nightmare to try to get one of the upper level employees to step out of their office to give you the time of day to answer your questions.

A community college is for everyone. It gives people who may not have a the grades or money to attend a major university, a chance to get an education. Like any school, if a person isn't motivated or dedicated to learning and higher education, then they won't succeed. People think that a community college is easier than a four year college, but there is no truth to that statement. The classes are smaller so it enables a student to have a better experience in the classroom.
