Peninsula college has a welcoming environment. The campus is rather small, so it's easy to get to classes. Most of the professors I have had over the years have been very devoted to their students and often will go out of their way to help if they can, though there are some professors that I am happy to never have again. The city is nice enough, but affordable housing options are few and far between, and the college itself doesn't have very many dorms available. Overall, Peninsula College is a nice college to get you your associates degree or certificate and then move on to something more, whether that be university or a career.

I am currently taking online classes at Peninsula College. And the website is user-friendly. The staff are available during normal business hours. They have been a great help and answer my questions in a timely manner. If they do not have the answer to a question, they usually refer me to someone else who can provide an answer.

I love just about everything at this campus. There are many great professors and great activities to participate in. I enjoy the small-sized classes and the availability of professors. The only thing that I wish was improved is the janitorial staff. Many times when you come to a class, it can go over a week without being vacuumed and the desks have unwiped marks and spills. In my Spanish class, this is especially true. My professor has mentioned bringing her own vacuum and she wipes the tables down for us daily.

For my first year of college, I went to Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen, Washington. I felt like things ended up not working out with basketball. When I got a scholarship to go to Peninsula College, I was excited. I heard great things about the school. When I took a visit, I ended up loving the school and its basketball program. The students and the faculty are genuinely nice. They will do anything just to see their students graduate. The campus is beautiful along with the people. I feel like Peninsula College would be a huge step forward in taking the right steps to become successful in my academics and sports.

I've been attending the last few years as a Running Start student, and one of the things I loved most was feeling recognized for my strengths and weaknesses, and being treated like an actual adult. I've not come across a single teacher that wasn't willing to help, and many went above and beyond. I couldn't attend half of my classes in English due to a required lab for another class, so my professor willingly helped me outside of the classroom during his office hours each week to make sure I wasn't behind or confused on anything. I've always felt comfortable, and the campus is honestly one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The support I've felt has inspired me to continue my education, and I've even had my art professor help me to work on my portfolio and write a letter of recommendation to get me into my dream college.

Peninsula College is right in my backyard, it is close and super helpful. Every person that I have talked to is super welcoming and I couldn't be more happy about going to a college that will help me completely along the way. The building and the campus in general are beautiful.

I enjoy the college and the town. There are so many things to do. If you enjoy outdoors this is the place for you. The nursing program is excellent. The professors are very approachable and want to help us succeed. There are great study groups and we use many different resources to make sure we do good.

I have been challenged by most of my classes at PC and have enjoyed excellent relationships with the majority of my instructors. PC has been an excellent academic choice for me as a springboard to future studies. I have participated in the school's soccer academy for four years which has been a huge bonus for my skills and knowledge base.

Love this school! The teachers do their next to help you understand what they are teaching and the curriculum is excellent. I have enjoyed going here and the campus is beautiful. When the weather heats up after winter and the rainstorms go away there is plenty of beautiful places to sit and eat or hang out with friends outside on the usually nice weather.

Peninsula College is a hidden gem deep in the burrows of Port Angeles. Its facilities are brand new and the modern architecture is beautiful. The staff and professors at Peninsula College form a collective wealth of experience and knowledge while being extreamly helpful and available any day of the week. The education at Peninsula College is as good as any four-year university whilst having affordable tuition and being in a convenient location. Most of the professors have taught at four-year universities or have worked in their respective fields for many years and end up retiring to the Olympic Peninsula for its beauty. This, in turn, creates a top-notch educational environment while allowing the professors to teach in a relaxed setting. I have always, and will continue to enjoy my time at Peninsula College.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Growing up my mother was anything but functional. She abused drugs and was a hoarder. I was always left to clean the house. SO i rebelled and stopped everything including trying in school and at home. I got taken in by my pastor and his family. I was so thankful. They saw how i had given up and they tried teaching me things i would need to know to living on my own. I refused to learn these things i wanted to party and have fun. So if there were any advise to have given myself is to listen to My pastor and his wife and learn these things they were teaching me. I'm still a bad cook,i suck at cleaning, and balancing money. There are many things i wished i would have listen to. my transition into the adult college world was a shock i now had to learn all these things on my own.
Peninsula College has a lot of resources for students struggling with school. They have Learning labs which you get help with different subjects from the teachers and other advanced students. They also offer student to student tutoring for students who are really struggling. Also for students with disabilities they strive to provide all the things we need to succeed. My old college had a program called the kerswell learning system. Peninsula did not have that program and thy learned how helpful it was to me and how helpful it could be to others and they got it the next quarter.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
I have attended two colleges Butte College in Chico, California and Peninsula College in Port Angeles Washington. Butte has many similarity's to Peninsula as in program of studies. Though my favorite difference is all the hiking trails behind Peninsula. If im getting stressed before or after class i go hiking and forget my worries for awhile. Its the best way to clear my head and i feal my stress levels drop in the woods behind my school.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I had known more about the school and its location, trying to find out if it was a good school was very hard. It needs a better representive online and more reccomendations and students you can talk to in order to pick this school.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about my school is it is doesnt have enough student help. I wish this school had more student support as in tutors, activities, clubs.
