What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I learned a few things in college that I wish someone would have told me about from the start. It?s really easy to fall in too deep in college. This isn?t high school anymore. Most teachers won?t accept late work and if they do, they dock a good portion of your grade from it. Get a day planner and stick with it. Get organized fast! I also learned that getting involved and making friends is a must. The campus isn?t going to stop for your grief. If you want to meet people, you have to be the one who steps outside of your comfort zone. Most schools offer a variety of clubs and going Greek is something I highly recommend to everyone. Above everything, just remember you are paying to go here. Go to class, but have fun too. Meet as many people as possible, you never know what doors they will open for you in the future.

What's unique about your campus?
I consider the best thing about my school is the class sizes. I am at a branch campus of a huge university, and I feel that smaller classes make the classroom atmosphere more comfortable for students. In these classrooms you feel known as an individual and not as a number on an ID card. Also, in this smaller atmosphere, teachers tend to have a better likelyhood of growing on their students and for their students to grow on them.

Among students and young people, Penn State may be known most for it's football and other athletic programs. Recently, it has also been making headlines in ways that aren't so flattering. However, every Penn State student and graduate knows that work ethic and moral values are the trademark of a Penn State student. At Penn State, you don't just learn to be a effective person in the workforce, but you also learn how to be a valuable person in society.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The professors really do care. I've had so many teachers who give out their cell phone and home phone numbers. They will help you not only with their class material, but any isuse you may be having outside of school. I never had a teacher who I felt uncomfortable with yet. I think it's pretty rare to find that much dedication from staff as you do at Penn State-Berks.

What are the academics like at your school?
My favorite class was English and I like it because I got a chance to read and learn more about some Authors that I ordinarily wouldn't know of. My least favorite subject is Mathematics and this is because I don't like calculus, geometry and algebra.
Students, especially athletes are usually very competitive, especially when we travel for games and miss classes and have to make up our missed classes. We get competitive to see who makes good grades.
My major is Business Management, and this is because since I have been young, I have watched my late father start his small business to becoming an IHOP franchisee. This has made me to continue to strive to be the best and be more successful than he was when he died. I want to keep his legacy going on.
I spend time with my Professors outside of class, especially when I don't understand what was taught and need further explanation or clarity.
