I've had good professors at Qu. I particularly like the professors in my history major and journalism which will be my minor because I feel like they really care about the student's needs and they're very approachable.

At Quinnipiac, class sizes are small so professors can identify each of their students. Class participation is very common in classes because it is a large part of the grade for many classes. For Quinnipiac's academic requirements, I believe that they attempt to make us well rounded students. In the school of liberal arts, we are required to take 7 credits in science, at least 3 credits in a foreign language as well as 200 and 300 level classes outside of our major.

professors know my name, nursing majors study alot, not everyone else, students are competitive

The entry level masters of physician assistant program is one of the leading PA programs in the country. After four years students graduate with a bachelors of health science and continue straight on into the graduate PA program where they graduate in 2 1/2 years with a masters of physician assistant. The program is very competitive and classes are challenging.

Small class size at Quinnipiac definitely holds true. I find that my teachers always eventually learn everyone's name by the end of the semester if not at first and I think that it has a lot to do with the fact that class sizes are rarely too big. I also do believe that Quinnipiac students have intellectual conversations outside of class. Being in the honors program here, I definitely think I see that more than others might.

I believe the academics are excellent here at quinnipiac. However some of the teachers are less then excellent, some simply teach from powerpoint presentations and do not care about the course material or the students. It is rare to find these teachers but they are there.

I haven't had any particular problems with any of my professors. Most of them have been very nice, accomidating, and personable. Some teachers are harder than others, and not all of my classes have been enjoyable, but for the most part my encounters with my professors have been very pleasant.

The professors really try to get to know you and want to get know you. They want to learn your name and get to know you on a more personal level. Professor Netter (MA110) wants to see you succeed and makes himself available to make sure that each student does the best to their ability.

Academics here are what you ake of them. Some people live in the library, others sleep all day! It's all up to you!
