What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a High School senior, I would give myself the advice of applying for all the scholarships imaginable. I never realized how expensize college was, and if I could go back in time I would definitely applied for many more scholarships. I would also tell myself that I am now entering the real world, and I need to learn how to do things for myself. I would tell myself that being a college athlete is more difficult being a regular college student, because I must learn how to manage my time, due to all the practices and work outs plus study time. It is a difficult adjustment, but I will get into a regular routine. I would tell myself that I will appreciate my parents so much more once I am living on campus. A lot of high school seniors take their parents for granted, until they reach the real world. I will tell myself to stay positive in this long and difficult process, because nothing of value comes without hard work.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I think the worst thing is that since it is a smaller school, it's sort of like being in high school again. However, you aren't monitored like in high school, which makes it not too bad.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
It's funny how in highschool I use to brag that my classes were easy and now in college, I'm bragging that my classes are challenging. I feel like I'm learning something at Seton Hill University because the teacher to student ratio is small enought that professors know my name and I don't feel like a number in a class, but an individual. I brag to my friends that this schools academics are amazing and I wouldn't change schools for anything.

What's unique about your campus?
The best thing about Seton Hill is how much the professors care about you and want you to do well. If you are having any trouble in class they want you to ask for help and strive to do your best. I consider this the best thing because the number one reason you are in college is to do well in your classes and take as much from them as you possibly can and receive that education that will prepare you for the world.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
What I wish I had known before I came to this school is the condition of the athletic department. For instance, I wish that I knew the track and field team had specialized and qualified coaches for all the different events. The other thing I wish I knew about were the lack of running facilities such as a running track. If I had known these two things before I came to this school, I think my decision to come here would be different. But all in all you have to make what you have work.

Seton Hill is a very small school while looking and achieving expansions on campus and into the downtown. Professors mostly get to know you by name and know details about you, which is very good to be close to them. Courses are easy or difficult depending on how good of a student you are.
