One thing I love about the UT Student Body as a whole is how laid back they are. Students wear shorts, t-shirts and flip flops to class and I think thats awesome

I love the fact that UT is so diverse. There are people from all over the world, with all different types of backgrounds. Although there seems to be distinct racial groupings, mostly everyone seems to get along.

The student body is very diverse. most of the popluation is students from around texas. there are also a large number of people from other countries. i dont think any one person would feel out of place on campus at ut. the school is so large you can find any kind of group to fit in with.

I think the UT student body is open-minded and tolerant for the most part. However, I find that the UT student body is very much racially segregated. I think there need to be more opportunities to facilitate integration.

I think our student body may be ahead of many other schools in recognizing and reaching out to or providing resources for underrepresented student groups. We lag behind some other schools, but are moving way up, which is admirable in such a conservative state.
The financial backgrounds vary sooo much. Many students here went to schools in which they were the only ones to go to college. Others own seven houses around the world.
Students here are very politically active. Those that sway to the left have a more active presense on campus.

The UT student body is very diverse. Everyone really gets along once they're able to get accustomed to the diversity. You have a mix of so many people from so many different backgrounds.

Lots of asians but the greek system is great and conservative.

i wear tshirt and shorts everyday and wouldnt have it any other way. i think people who dress up look out of place. and i think the rest of the student body enjoys being casual as well. i like that i do know a lot of people from out of state as well as from all different parts of texas that i have never been to.

Quite a handfull of people are racist towards hispanics, specially Mexicans. I understand that there are a lot of Mexicans here in Texas, but the atittude towards them is pretty demeaning.
Most of the studenty body is Texan, given that UT is a public university. From what I see most of the Texans like to be in frats and dress according to their typcial dress code. The kaki shorts and the polo shirt and sandals or the brown shoes (dont remember their name) without socks.
There is still a lot of interaction between cultures, races, etc. The diversity is so big that it is impossible not to interact with everyone.
