I have not been very accustomed to how Union University does everything, however I have been given the opportunity to know how their system works and how the character of everyone there positively affects the community. The food is great, the people are kind, and the classes are to a perfect size, where you can interact with the professor on more of a personable level.

Union University is overall a great school. The student body is made up of mostly homeschoolers/private school kids. Some classes are average and some are really special, depending on the professor. The campus is nice and walkable, very pretty and clean looking. There is a large music department and lots of faith based activity there. All the buildings are cold inside, but that is pretty typical of a college campus. There are places to shop and eat within walking distance as well.

I love this school. The academics are quite rigorous especially if you choose a major in the medical field. There are always events going on, so you'll never be bored just sitting in your dorm. The people that go to this college are so kind and respectful. the professors and faculty are super invested in your education which is very beneficial.

I will be attending Union University in the Fall of 2020, and I could not be more excited. When I took my tour, I took the opportunity to sit in on a class, and I was beyond impressed. The teachers engage with their students, and the class size is about 20 students, which is perfect, because every student gets attention and has a better learning experience. The teachers make sure that they students do not walk out of the classroom without understanding what they just learned. The teachers are always there when the students need them. As for the students on campus, they are very kind. When I took my tour, students were coming up to me, welcoming me to Union and to the campus. I left my tour at Union University having made five friends before I even left! I have never felt more at home on a campus than I did at Union University. I would highly recommend considering Union University and taking a tour.

It is a great school that is Christ centered and excellence driven. The housing is great. It is set up like an apartment with a kitchenette, living room ,bathroom, and 4 bedrooms. The bedroom has a closet and desk. You are required to go to chapel 14 times a semester.

I think Union University is a fantastic college. I do think they should handle their scholarships a lot better and would award people more scholarships that need it. I wish the cafeteria food was better. I hope they will consider more opportunities for their students.

Union University is an amazing school! The dorms are very nice, the campus is beautiful, and the academics are top-notch. My favorite thing about Union is the community. It is easy to get involved, and everywhere you go you will see a smiling face. Even the president will stop and have a conversation with you! The city Union is in, Jackson, is also a great place to be.

I am in love with the way this school is teaching me to love - to love others, to love beauty and art and joy around me, to love God, and to love learning. This is a special group of people who are not just here for degrees, but want to milk college for all it is worth. By that I mean the students and professors, because both are open to learning together. Is it a perfect place? No, but I feel like it is a school that is striving to always excel. This is a place where I can come and learn to be not just a good worker or writer or manager of something someday; it is shaping me to be a better human, and to think about the world in entirely new ways. It is comfortable to learn here - the challenge is rigorous but not crushing, and professors are here for you to provide a cushion and comfort when we need it.

I toured at several different Universities and had my sights set on a school in Nashville, until Union came into the picture. From the moment I submitted my application, I felt like they truly cared about me and wanted to help. Whereas other schools treated me like a number, Union was personable and hospitable. They have been incredibly generous with financial aid, everyone is so friendly and they are there for you. Lovely campus, delicious food and wonderful housing. I am grateful I get to be a Union student!

Union University is an exceptional school, to say the least. At Union, students are treated with empathy and not just another student. The professors genuinely care about the academic and professional success of each student. I have a daughter that is studying Social Work as well, and although it is her decision, I am going to advocate for Union University where her graduate degree is concerned.

Union University is a school devoted to religion. We have to attend chapels 14 times a semester, some are very interesting. The science department is incredible, the class size is small, but the classes themselves push you religiously wise as well. Most of the courses here will relate back to God and point out where the Bible will make a direct link to the course. The professors are also amazing as you can reach them at almost any time, they genuinely care about their students.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Union University is 62%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I have pondered this question on multiple ocassions already. If I could go back in time to my senior year of high school, I would tell myself to finish applying to the Air Force Academy and to go there. I had gotten far in the application but never completed it, and I think I will always regret that. It's not that I dislike Union University, but I feel like I have missed something by not going to the Academy.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I do not know of anything that is negative about my school. I love Union University and all the students and staff. This school is very welcoming and feels like home.
Without a doubt, the best thing is that we are Christ-centered. The teachers are wonderful at what they do, because they love the Lord. Union is a place that I can learn, have fun, and meet amazing people. I truly think that the Christ-centered atmosphere makes the world of a difference at our school.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
The classes are small which give you a really great student-teacher ratio. The dorms are incredible; they are essentially appartments each with four seperate rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a living room. The teachers here really care about their students and get to know them each by name. They are experts in their feild. The university strives to and succeedes at upholding their commitment to students and their missions statement as a university.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I had known the level of expectation from the school. They are very academically strong and they want their graduates to come out of there knowing they received the best possible education.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The financial aide department is overwhelmed with students because let's face it, shcool is darn expensive, so it was hard to get information from them in a timely manner, but they do work with students and try their best to do whatever it takes to keep them at the school.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
If you are looking to party and do drugs this school is not for you. The majority of the students here value the money spent for thier education, and they focus very hard on their studies. This school has strong rules against drugs and alcohol.
What is the stereotype of students at your school?
All the guys are southern baptist, guitar playing, christian studies majors
All the girls go to find their future spouse and are education or psychology majors
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
most students get involved with the Go Trips in some way, and many are involved in Greek Life. Club sports and inter mural sports are very popular, as well as organizations centered around their majors. There are many small bible studies that people get involved with and The Freshman Life Groups are worth getting involved with as well.
Professors are extremely approachable and very welcoming. They really want you to learn and will help you till you understand.
Academics prepared me well for graduate school, and many friends were well prepared for professional schools.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
100% of students attending Union University receive some sort of financial aid.
32% were awarded federal grants.56%received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
