Beautiful campus, fun surrounding town of Florence, historical, solid college. There are always ups & downs, goods things & bad, but overall a rich experience with good class sizes, competent library, vibrant student center, competitive sports, and good faculty, staff, admin, etc.

I like being at UNA. When I first came here it was a little hard because I moved away from my family but I made friends quickly here. I was on the color guard and that was a lot of fun the games were always the best. I struggled with my major for the longest and I do have to say that some of the courses here are tough. I left nursing school and became an English major soon after. They can be strict here if you're a nursing major but it can be worth all the stress to be the best nurse you can be. Classes are fun and the professors are always ready to help. There are many events always happening on campus so you will never be bored.

I think it is a good school. There are many opportunities to learn and grow as a person. There are many events that happen throughout the week and it is easy to meet people. The professors are generally good and are available for meeting either in person or online.

The University of North Alabama has been great so far. I have only been here for a semester, and will be leaving before the spring semester begins, but everyone has been so welcoming and helpful! Teachers are quite accessible and really push you to succeed.

Very good school ike any school, this was our first year back since COVID and you can tell this school really tried to make an effort in bringing our North Alabama community together. I attend this school and love their teachers. They always attend the events that are held. I loved the real lion mascot and creative ways to get students to do something outside their school. I really enjoyed all the projects they held even though we couldn't be on campus. This school really cares about their families and wanted the best for these children's education.

I was recruited to come to this school to play football and will be graduating in December. Simply put, do not attend this school. It is the oldest institution in the state of Alabama yet has the least government funding by a WIDE margin and it clearly shows when you walk around campus. Classrooms look less well-kept than high school classes, the parking lots are hilariously small, and all there is to do around Florence is talk about how there is nothing to do in Florence. The wifi consistently goes down for long periods of time across the entire campus, and I truly feel bad for anyone who has to live in the prison cells commonly known as Rice and Rivers Hall.

I absolutely love the University of North Alabama. It is a very good campus. It is full of life and has something for everyone. Everyone makes you feel welcome and like it is a forever home! The first time I set foot on campus I knew it was the one! Roar Lions all the way!

I love the school. Everyone is super friendly. The campus dining hall food is not that good. I feel they serve the same thing over and over. The communication from the school needs to be better. I feel they do not strive to help the students often. Sometimes, I feel like the school wants you to fail.

The University of North Alabama is a beautiful campus with a diverse group of students. I love my school, but I do feel that there could be more opportunities for me to get involved. Greek life isn’t my cup of tea, but I haven’t seen many other clubs that spike my interest. Other than that, the classes and professors are mostly great, I have had wonderful experiences so far as a Junior. I am glad I chose UNA, I have made many friends and gathered plenty of life experience to prepare me for life after school.

When I searched for a college that would teach the major of my choice. I found University of North Alabama. Although, I have never been on campus, I enjoy the online experience. I enjoy this University, I trust that they will lead me to achieve my career goals.

Nice campus, friendly students, great housing choices...My mom attended UNA, she has been influential in my decision to visit the campus and possibly attend school at UNA. I had the opportunity to visit the campus. I was intrigued by the warm and welcoming environment, the enthusiasm of the teaching staff, the opportunity for growth and development, the athletic department and everything about this college. Not to mention the stellar academic programs.

The University or North Alabama is centered in the heart of Florence. As you walk through the campus you are constantly greeted by friendly faces and the most unique and elegant buildings. The teachers at this university take time to aid students toward their success as a graduate. Not only are people nice but on this campus you have so many opportunities to be involved with the school whether it is academics, athletics, or even clubs.

Being a student at UNA has been one of the best things I have ever done. The class sizes are smaller which allows the teachers to really know you by name and learn stuff about you. They also remember you. I am a Junior and one of my professors from Fall of my freshman year saw me on campus and remembered my name, major and even asked about how my health condition was doing. The campus is beautiful. I love going to walk around campus at night and I always feel super safe. I truly feel like the students are like a family. 10/10 would recommend UNA.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
No matter how hard college get, never give up and always study hard to make the best grades you can. Get involved as much as possible and make life long friends. College is great and you will have the time of you life, but remember to stay focused on you goal and do you best and you will be successful!!
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
University of North Alabama is a small school, where we have small classes and all porfessors and staffs are so nice and willing to help individual when they needed help but the worst thing about it is it has small number of parking places. As a feshman, students are not allowed to park on campus, they have to park couple miles away and take a bus to school. Sometimes, we have to drive around for 15 minutes find a parking place and sometimes we ended up by late for class. I hope school will ix that problem soon.
I really like the atmospher of this campus. It's very homey and friendly and you meet a lot of peopole from different backgrounds from all over the world.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
People who like big towns should not come to UNA. Also, people who like a lot of big entertainment should look into a different college. I think UNA is good for students who are interested in some entertainment but also studying. UNA is not the best in the math or english department.
I love my classmates. All classrooms always have some individuals you get along with and some you don't but for the most part, i like them. There is a diverse group individuals of different backgrounds.
The type of person that should attend University of North Alabama is someone that is differnet and unique. Someone who is their own person. Students on the UNA campus is different and special. There is no such thing as a "type" of person. Everyone fits in by being theirselves.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
This school has a very beautiful campus and is large but not too large to where you can walk to pretty much all the buildings. The teacher to student ratio is 1:20 which I like because it's much easier to talk to them about stuff I might be having problems with and the classrooms aren't super packed with students. Everyone I have encountered in every department like financial aid, admissions, etc is very friendly and helpful. My advisor is very helpful and seems to care about my future. I've seen this with my other teachers too.
A day that I will never forget is this one time me and a few friends were playing Dungeons and Dragons, and we didn't have class the next day so we stayed up VERY late. Towards the end we were delirious from no sleep and we made some interesting decisions in the game, such as hosting a national "Dwarf punting day".
