I think that there is some room for improvement. The professors need to be reported by the students more frequently for not doing their jobs. I had one class where the professor didn't grade the majority of our assignments or give us feedback until the very end of finals week. When I told my advisor, she said that I was the first person to ever report that happening. Since then, I have talked to other students that have taken that class and they said that the problem was fixed. Please report your professors if they aren't doing their job well! It's usually anonymous, I've had only had one instance where it wasn't.

Wenatchee Valley College has a beautiful campus located in the heart of Wenatchee. The faculty are well-educated, friendly, and enthusiastic about furthering student knowledge, applying their subjects to current events, and mentoring students to higher education. The professors have frequent office hours and are happy to assist students, or just chat about life and goals. The campus is welcoming, with many opportunities for Running Start students, and other transfer students, including some bachelor degree programs offered on campus. The campus has a beautiful Music and Arts building, with naturally-lit studio spaces, practice rooms, a gallery, and a performance hall. The arts faculty are incredibly talented, practicing artists, with inspiring testimonies to share with their students. There are many events put on by the college, and students are encouraged to get involved with athletics, clubs, and social opportunities. There is also information on the website for students to start their own clubs to further connect with peers. Wenatchee Valley College has become a second home to me. In the year I have spent there so far, I have developed great relationships with several faculty members, enjoyed the beautiful indoor and outdoor study spaces, and benefitted from the wide variety of classes they have available.

Wenatchee Valley College is a good college for not only college-age students but also Running Start students. The professors are good at responding to your questions and have variable office hours that students can access on their syllabuses. WVC is a nice college to get an associate's degree.

I am a Running Start student here, and I have enjoyed attending WVC. The class sizes are small, the professors are generally kind and available to help, and the campus is quite peaceful and clean. It was a great community college to obtain my associate's before transferring to a larger state university.
Emily
WVC provides an affordable way for people to get an education and pursue their dreams with supportive professors and staff who want to see everyone succeed. The environment is clean, positive, and welcoming. Campus is also super easy to navigate and very safe!

Great place, especially if you’re just starting out college. This is my first college that I go to because I’m a running start student so I am doing high school and college at the same time and the college has lots of opportunities and lots of places to go to get help.
Karla
I love it there. some of those answers I could not answer well because it is a smaller school but overall I love it because it is easy to get help from your profferers because it is a smaller class. All the proffers I have had have been great so far.

Wenatchee Valley College is a very convenient school, especially since I am a Wenatchee native. It is a smaller school which meant smaller classes, and more one-on-one time with your professor. It is a fairly diverse school. I do think there should have been more opportunities to get involved whether it was clubs, political, and/or sports.

This college used to be a gem. A top tier education at a community college price and a nice vibrant growing town around it. The School has several PHDs in it's tenured faculty and a few professors who wrote text brooks and a couple who are truly world class experts in their disciplines. Unfortunately such an amazing corps of professors is not enough to save a poorly run college that is running out its best faculty. The school is a flaming wreck right now, stay far away.
Emily
Great college. Small class sizes and amazing teachers. The housing is pricy but Wenatchee is great and has so much to offer. The classes are affordable and there are so many student services and resources to help. Also, a great group of clubs and extra activities. I would recommend WVC to anyone looking to go to a community college before university.

As a former student of Wenatchee Valley College before enrolling in the facility for the first time I had time challenges also known as first time challenges. And these are the worst because the procrastination is high and the time to initiate takes a while. This is a reflection of being chocked or fainting in the middle of a speech. Really what I needed was more room to breathe, process and formulate pieces of work. The faculty and staff are incredibly diverse some very outgoing and others very strict and formal. I would recommend Wenatchee Valley college as a challenging, hardened, loud and during my time of attendance political place to attend.
Brooklyn
WVC is constantly trying to improve its facilities and programs for its students. It is a great place to get used to the college lifestyle and everyone is very welcoming and helpful. However, some of the services could definitely be improved. Overall, I think WVC is a great place.
Janette
It is a very open community. Considering it is in a small town, everyone feels welcome and at home. It is a great place to get a small start, instead of going to a direct 4-year university, WVC gives lots of options to start your path. With low tuition costs, a variety of classes, and a welcoming community, where else would one want to start off the college education at?

My overall opinion of Wenatchee Valley College is that there is a lot of potential for each and every student to grow. If the student chooses to partake in the activities and classes that are given. When I am walking around the school I do notice that there is all different kinds of students roaming around. I like that about this school, everyone always looks so determined in their studies and even getting to class. I am glad that I am a part I this school which also has various classes that can be offered to many students, that you don’t even have to go to a big university since they offer the classes there! I definitely recommend this school to many other students that are not from the Wenatchee Valley to attend and encourage Wenatchee Valley students to go to this community college not only to save money but to also get a great kick start to college!
Rachel
I love this school! I've just completed the running start program, which allowed me to earn my AA at the same time as my High School diploma. I haven't encountered any issues, besides a few of my fellow classmates, but its nothing the school can really control.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Wenatchee Valley College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Study hard. This is not high school anymore, things will not come as easy as they did in high school. Although there is rarely homework, do whatever practice problems you can find, they help greatly for studying. Get involved more. Go to games, hang out in the lounge, meet new people. Never hide behind a door, always be yourself. Take classes you want to take, but never stray from your degree. It'll pass by fast, so have fun while it lasts. I believe in you, you're going to do great.
My classmates at Wenatchee Valley College are hardworking, dedicated, creative students, as well as being kind, open minded, and understanding of others' viewpoints and ideas.
Academically, this school is great. I had two English classes and a Study Skills class. my favorite class was Study Skills 101, the professor was good at the subject and if we had a question, it was easy to contact her even out of class hours.
Wenatchee Valley College is an amazing school. They provide you with a lot of help, in school and out of school. It is fairly easy to communicate with you professors. This school has a lot of clubs, sports, and a lot of fun thing to do.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I have only been to the campus a couple of times when working with my advisor to get transferred and registered for classes that start Fall 2014. So far I have liked the experiences I have had. My one hiccup with the school so far has been in the Financial Aid Department. They are not always willing to help answer questions.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
Wenatchee Valley College overall is a good community college but some things that they could work on is there clubs and the hours that the library is available. They dont have enough clubs that is for everyone for specific things. The hours of the library are also crappy since they are not really open on the weekends.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about my school is the time that is allowed for classes; one of my teachers does not teach class well, and the reason for this is that there is simply not enough time in the class period to conduct a good lecture and teaching session. If there was more time allowed in the class periods, I would probably have a better understanding of the subject that I am currently studying.
