What draws me to Baldwin Wallace University is the opportunity to pursue both academic and athletic excellence in an environment that values personal growth and community. As someone who is passionate about football, the chance to play at the collegiate level for a strong NCAA Division III program like Baldwin Wallace is incredibly exciting. I’m drawn to the team’s tradition, competitiveness, and the sense of brotherhood that comes with being part of a program that values discipline, teamwork, and leadership—both on and off the field.
Equally important to me is Baldwin Wallace’s commitment to academic excellence. The smaller class sizes and strong student-faculty relationships create an ideal setting for learning. I’m impressed by the university’s wide range of academic programs, especially in business and the sciences, which align with my interests and goals. I appreciate how BW blends rigorous academics with real-world experiences like internships and research opportunities, especially given its proximity to Cleveland.
What stands out most is how Baldwin Wallace encourages students to challenge themselves in multiple areas—not just to succeed, but to grow into well-rounded individuals. The supportive campus culture, combined with the chance to compete in football while receiving a top-tier education, makes Baldwin Wallace the perfect fit for me.

It is one of the best I have visited during my recruiting process. For starters, the students on the campus are very welcoming and are always ready to meet new people. Whenever I met the professor for my major, he was ready to help me get into the sports management business by showing me what they do throughout the year for internships and what they do in the summer. Overall, this is a great school and I'm very excited for what is to come for me at this school.

Baldwin Wallace University is a great college for anyone considering. The professors are fantastic and easily accessible. Because it's a small school, you will get to know plenty of people; this is beneficial for introverts. There are many different clubs, sororities, and fraternities for all majors/minors. Beautiful campus year-round.

Baldwin Wallace University is the perfect small school atmosphere. We have a world-class education and many successful athletic teams. The campus has beautiful architecture. The professors truly care about you and want to see you succeed. There are also plenty of ways to get involved on campus. I hope that you consider becoming a Yellow Jacket like me!

So far, I have a good experience and have met nice people ready to help. The services are good, the food can be improved, but that isn't something significant for me. Education during this pandemic is excellent, mostly all classes are hybrid, and students can request to be fully online. There some virtual events that are enjoyable and interesting.

I love BWU. The atmosphere is smaller, but there are still so many new faces to see everyday. I am thinking about going back for a graduate program- if that shows how much I enjoyed my experience and education there! The teachers know your name and MAKE time for students. just a great staff.

The faculty overall are there for the students and work their best to do all they can to make a great BW experience. Class sizes are small to where students have the benefit of getting one on one attention with their professors and don't feel like someone who is just there. Dining is mostly as to be expected of a college but there are some dining staff that make students feel extremely welcome and taken care of. The environment of BW is very homey and the location of the campus helps it to not be overwhelming.

Baldwin Wallace is that school that makes you feel like your at home. It's just that loving caring vibe once you step on campus. The academics are great then the opportunities afterwards are even better. All of the professor are there to help you and are willing to sit and talk with you to build that teacher, student relationship Only thing is that it needs to be more diverse.

I have lived around the campus of Baldwin Wallace for all but a year of my life, and this area is my home. I wanted to go to Baldwin Wallace all my life, not only because it was a great school academically, but because of the area it is in and that I love this area and all it has to offer.

I love BW! I came here to play basketball and love the campus, the coaches, and my professors. We have so many professors that come to our games and it feels like a family. College is an adjustment and I have more support than I could have imagined. I recommend Baldwin Wallace to any young adult looking for a place to get a good education, make great friends, and have a strong support system.

I think the school is great for someone who is content with a small town life. There are defiantly opportunities for growth with great academics and any support you may need. There is a limit to how far you can go there as it is still a very small school. It doesn't have all the opportunities a larger school may have, but for what it is, it is a very nice school. I think any student could be successful here and has the material available to them to have a successful future beyond college.

Baldwin Wallace University is an exciting place to be. There is always something to do both on and off campus. The students, staff, and alum are all part of the growing community that is Berea, Ohio. No matter where you go in the area, you can always find exactly what you're looking for.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself to take really good care of my health, try to use every opportunity to use work study, learn how to drive and get an internship. Take advantage of the internship opportunities and make friends with the people who you wanted to get to know better, DO NOT take research classes with a certain professor, follow your gut because most of the time you were right.
An open minded, outgoing person. This is a small school, and you will meet many of people and know most people if you allow yourself to and do not exclude yourself
The people at BW are diverse, friendly and make me feel like I am part of the faimly. As a incoming freshmen I felt alone, but the people here, other students, facautly and even the works have been so nice that I feel like I belong. They make up the atmosphere here, one that is welcoming to everyone.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
When I visited Baldwin-Wallace college I experienced a very community oriented campus. Everyone was extremely open and friendly which surprised me. I did not feel uneasy in beginning a conversation with someone I did not know because no matter what the major of the other student was, you could talk about almost anything! Another thing was when I visited I met the staff/professors who seemed to go out of their way no matter what to show me all about the departments I was interested in for the future.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
My school makes us take surveys at the end of every semester in regards to our professors. It is frustrating to find out that professors who continuously get bad reports are still teaching.... And then have no choice to take a class from him/her.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I had known about more classes that were interesting to me on an intellectual level that may not have been included in my major. I would have loved to take more classes that, although may not have been required by major, were socially and intellectually stimulating. For example, although I may be a music major, I would have liked to take more political theory courses during my first two years of college.
