Colorado State University-Fort Collins Top Questions

Describe the students at Colorado State University-Fort Collins.

Matt

CSU's student body is diverse and accepting of many walks of life, and I don't feel like it is an issue at all. I think any student would experience a welcoming atmosphere at CSU. Students wear pretty much anything to class. Some people wear their pajamas, others are dressed very professionally, and others in your normal casual attire. Most students are from Colorado, but I've met many people from out of state, including Illinois, Hawaii, Kansas, California, and several foreign exchange students from overseas. Financially, I'd say the vast majority of CSU students are middle class. Students are highly educated in today's political world and are very opinionated. As a whole, I'd say our student body is predominantly right as far as politics go.

There are a variety of different people, with different backgrounds. it is interesting to meet people that are different from yourself and finding that you have more in common with them then not.

Anna

I think it is very diverse.

Since CSU is a state university, I believe the number is about 70{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} instate. The general vibe on campus is friendly and laid back. Different groups of students seem to get along pretty well, and there are lots of different activities promoting the understanding of different races on campus and getting to know them and /or their different beliefs. Students here generally dress as what you would think of typical college attire. Just comfortable and casual. There is no need to get all done up to feel like you would fit in in class. Sweatpants and hoodies are perfectly acceptable.

Lauren

I think for the most part all students feel welcome at CSU. There is a wide variety of what students wear to class. It can range from sweats, to jeans and a t-shirt to dress clothes. Most students are from Colorado, but there is a good protion of people that are from out of state.

Maggie

Personally, I think CSU is a place where just about every type of person can find a little niche. I definitely did and I am a pretty shy person. There is a club for about any interest a student may have. I honestly think anyone would feel welcome at this University. It's common to see a lot different styles here at CSU...

CSU is a racially diverse campus. While it is prodominatly white, there is no seperation between races. The only kind of student that would feel out of place at csu is a very shy and predeterminist. Csu is a world or openmindedness, and it can even bring the shy out into the social life.

CSU's student body is diverse. You can be who you want and not worry about being harrassed. I feel extremely comfortable where ever I am on campus. Most students wear jeans and a sweatshirt but it depends upon the circumstances they may dress up or bundle up. I believe athletes kind of segreagate themselves from the mass population of students because it is a completely different life than most students. However, I have meet a large number of people that are very different from where I grew up. I believe most students are from a middle working class background. CSU is does not flaunt how much money it can get from people. Students are active and aware of the political things that are happening everyday. We are new to the voting scene and as a result are extremely excited about staing our opinion. I do not talk about how much I will make one day.

Amanda

No specific information on student body.

I think the campus is pretty open to all, although we are lacking racial diversity. Most students generally just wear casual, comfy clothes to class. Most CSU students are from Colorado and middle class. Students are probably about average for college students being politically aware/active. Students talk about how much they'd like to earn one day.
