I think the college was everything I expected it to be. I did have some negative run ins with professors, but they were easily fixed by simple communication or dropping a class. I never regretted attending the college, and would recommend it to someone that is starting their college journey or are just looking for a two year college.

My opinion of Faulkner state is that it’s a very good school. The city of mobile is small and quite, it offers students the ability to focus on their education. the school campus is great and very safe. The sports teams are good and seem to always have students present supporting.

I do not attend the primary Bay Minette campus, I attend the smaller, more remote Fairhope location. I enjoy the location of the campus because it is not far from home and there are less people that attend Fairhope. The class sizes are rather small but it makes room to be more easily engaged in in-depth conversation. I did not rate most of the above categories simply because the Fairhope campus does not have everything to offer that is listed. But overall, I have enjoyed the school for the three semesters I have attended.

I feel that they can expand more as a college. The dorms are very limited and a bit pricey. I enjoyed the class sizes because you were able to get to know your teacher. But far as facilities and shopping areas, there aren't any. You would have to drive to Mobile or Spanish Fort.

THEY NEED TO INTERACT MORE WITH THE STUDENTS. THEY NEED TO ACTUALLY TRY TO HELP STUDENTS SUCCEED IN LIFE.

Class sizes aren’t big so you he professors have more one one one time. So grasping the understanding comes readily. Campus security is alway presents. Professors genuinely care about the education of their students. The Division of Student Development provides services to students and potential students to assist them in their overall development academically, professionally, personally, emotionally, and intuitively

Coastal Alabama Community College, formerly known as James H. Faulkner State Community College, is an excellent and worthy institution to attend because the faculty and staff truly care for the student’s success in their academics. Not only does Coastal Alabama Community College have top notch academics, but it also has many extracurricular activates and clubs. Some of these clubs include Student Government Association, the Pow Wow Leadership Society, and Phi Theta Kappa. In addition, the college has sports like baseball, golf, softball, tennis, basketball, and volleyball. When one attends this college, he/she will receive a high-quality education and will graduate well prepared for the real world.

It is a pretty good college. I had trouble with some of the professors, but that just meant I had to put in more time in order to pass the class which was okay. The campus is pretty great and always clean. I always feel safe walking around campus. I would recommend it to a friend.

James H Faulkner State Community College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at James H Faulkner State Community College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for James H Faulkner State Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would have learned better study habits. In high scool I did not have to study. I could go to class, listen to the lectures sometimes and be able to ace the test the next day. In college it is totally different. There is no studying the night before and being able to pass a test. Being a nursing major, it is very competitive to get into most programs. Grades are the first thing that they look at to be accepted. So making good grades in all my classes not just anatomy is my main priority. It takes weeks to study for some test and for someone not being use to studying it was very hard the first semester in college. I had a very rude awakening per say. So good study habits would be something I wish I would have learned prior to attending college.
