If I could go back in time I would go back to when I was in eight grade and start fresh through high school. I would make sure that I keep my GPA at 3.5 and start attending classes that will help me with my accounting degree.

If I could go back and speak to myself, I would address issues that plagued me for over 20 years. These issues have prevented me from attending school prior to now. As an individual who hassuffered mental illness and years of abuse, this is a difficult question, indeed. However, I would encourage myself to take treatment of my mental illness seriously and not allow it to hinder me from reaching for my dreams. Also, I would mention that along the lines of tretment, to address the issues of the childhood abuses with my therapists and begin to allow myself to heal from these wounds at a much earlier age. I would not allow myself to fall into the pit that has taken so long to climb out of.

Keep going to College. Don't take any breaks. Otherwise you'll never go back and finish.

If I could go back and talk to myself as a high school senior, knowing what I know now about college life and making the transition I would tell myself to prepare now rather than later. Being in high school is so much simpler than being in college because I feel you reach your adult hood after high school. When I was in high school we were offered college course we can take now and not have to worry about it once we graduate and go to college. I would have told myself to take them courses that way I can jump right into the concentration of my major when starting college and graduate sooner. I would also give myself the advice of joining some sort of club and maybe even getting a job because the experience is what gets you in the door. As well as do plenty of research on several schools at once and apply for plenty of scholarships because they are out there waiting for high school students to graduate and go to college. Preparing now while in high school for when I graduate and go to college is the best advice I could give myself.

If I would have the chance to go back and speak with myself as a high school senior I would tell myself to finish High School and gratuate on my graduation day. Not to wait many years later. I would have told myself to put my education first and not anything else. This could have helped me with the current degree I am working towards now and would have a better start then than I do now. I would also tell myself it will be all right and well worth it, because no matter what anyone tells you it is not there life that they are leading. If you want to go to dance school go, if you want to become an attorney do it. It is your life do as you see fit and soak up all the knowledge that you can before it is too late.

Brittany

Start looking at colleges sooner instead of the last second. Other than that I think I made the right decisions right out of highschool.

The advice I would give a high school senior is to make sure that you are prepared and make sure that you have placed plenty of thought into the school and field that you wish to attend. It is very important to make sure that you are going to be comfortable at the school and with the courses that you will have to attend. If it is hard for you to be away from your family for long periods of time, then you need to look into local colleges. While this is an important time to grow up and become more independent, sometimes moving miles away can be a little overwhelming. The second part of my advice would be to make sure that field of study you are entering is truly what you want to do. If this is not a course of study that you are interested in then you are wasting time and money.

i would tell myself to remember you will have time for fun, friends and boys once you have your degree. set your goals now and stick to them. it will be easier to attend college now than after you have children. i would also tell myself what i tell my own kids which is that they do not want to end up working a manual labor job that tears down their bodies, harms their lungs, and makes them miserable like i have had to do.

Wow! If I could go back in time to being a high school senior again I would make sure to tell myself that I should not wait at all before going on to college. I would make sure that I was prepared and took all of the college credit courses that were offered at my high school instead of taking teacher's assistant. Back when I was in high school I didn't think that I would need to go to college or that I was capable. I would tell myself that I am only as good as I believe that I can be and would let myself know that college is the key to a great career and a better life. I often wonder what life would be like if I had done things differently, such as going to college and taking all those higher courses in high school. I wouldn't have to be a freshman at 24 working to support myself as well as trying to go to school full time. It would have been a lot easier if I had that little me on my shoulder giving me this advice back then.

If I had the opportunity to talk to myself as a high school senior, I would tell my self to relax. Not everyone is the same and relax your idea of what a college student is or how they act. You are unique and have an individual path to follow. Open up to new ideas and new experiences because you don't know until you've given a good, honest try to something unfamiliar. Before you decide on a degree path, truly take a hard look at what you can do with that degree. Is it what you honestly want? When all is said and done, have fun. Enjoy your life and the path you're traveling. Don't put any more stress on yourself than absolutely necessary. Life is forgiving and if you make a misstep along the way, don't worry so much, it can be fixed.
