I am an out of state baseball player at UAM. I have been acclimated and accepted with ease. This campus is small and homey. I love how the community supports all of the sporting events. The local churches are available but not pushy. I can see myself actually living here long term. UAM is a great place to be.

IT a Very medium size and friendly college. Were people put you first. I wish there was more Dorms that were private rooms, for I don't like sharing, do not like others to have access to my stuff. Would like to be able to have the ability to cook if need be. Education is number 1 to me. I believe I can receive everything i am looking for and more and UAM

I see this collage to be a brilliant choice to advanced my education to become a great American citizen. The teachers, workers and students all their are very kind and understanding. I visited by myself and was shown around the campus. The campus offered tons of different kinds of educational programs to be interested in. I highly recommend it.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

    School is my number one priority and my only option. I would return to explain to myself that education is the key to success. I would apply myself to the best of my ability,shout when I've done great and smile when I've done poorly. I come from a low income family, neither of my parents graduated, nor did they attend college, but they both still encouraged me to attend college, get a better education, and chase after my dreams. If i could go back i would encourage myself to apply for as many scholarships as possible because loans will kill you in the long run. I applyed for as many scholarship as i could and didn't recieve one. I would highly appreciate it if i could recieve this award because it would help make my life a liitle better and a little loan free.

    Everyone at UAM is accepted and for the most part they all get along. Everyone is there for their education and that is the one thing that everyone has in common.

  4. What kind of person should not attend this school?

    It actually depends on the major. Most people who are serious about their schooling and want to learn about their major and how to make it should not go here. With the exception of nursing and forestry, most of the majors here end up being worthless to the student because they don't take it that seriously. The fact that the school has open enrollment is also somewhat of an issue because not every student is here to learn and leave with a degree.

    The worst thing about my school is the fact that it is located in a small town where the biggest thing is the Super Walmart Store.

    The University of Arkansas at Monticello has the best teachers, with great knowledge of each subject, as well as great academic advisors that are willing to help you in each and every way that they can.

    The most frustrating thing about my school is that they only offer certain classes during certian semesters.

    The size and how friendly the faculty and students are. The size is the perfect size to make sure you get one on one help from the teachers and your never afraid to ask a classmate a question.

    I wish I had known that I should have gone straight to college after I graduated from high school. My teachers refreshed my mind but I can tell how I have forgotten some things.

    All students are allowed to live off campus, which I really like. Its really a college town. The town of Monticello really supports the university. Its easy to meet new people and make friends as a new student becase everyone is really nice.

  13. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

    I probably brag the most about the fact that I am a wife and a mother of two. Some of the teachers challenging me to do better and pushing for success. My teachers make it more enjoyable and a better learning environment. I feel I learn more and get more from my classes because of the teachers. They make the subjects interesting which helps keep you focused to stay on target. Also, I have a wonderful advisor who is a great help with questions and helping set up my schedule.
