Througout my involvement at the University of Central Florida, I have learned invaluable information I will use for the rest of my career. I have learned how to communicate effectively, how to run my own private practice, how to solve problems, and how "the real world" will be like, to name a few. Along those concepts, I have gained friendships, views, and values that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I have learned to respect others regardless of their views, and to really seek people's motives and friendships instead of judging them.
I consider my enrollment at UCF to be of great value, for the sole reason of my inability to have have learned all this information elsewhere. It is where I have been taught to think critically, outside of the box to solve problems. Where I have learned that discussion and hardships are beneficial because they are essential for growth. I have been well prepared for the years ahead in my career.

Out of my college experience, I've gained a new set of skills that have helped me prepare for life after undergraduate school. I've learned the importance of prioritizing and managing my time. During my time attending the University of Central Florida, I recognized how vital developing relationships and expanding my network was because Orlando is such a tight-knit community. Having the skills to complete the job may not be the determining factor in landing a job, but knowing the right people can help put my resume on the top of the stack. Grades weren’t the only important factor to success. From my experience, building bonds and expanding my network was equally important to my future as academia goals. My three internship opportunities were presented to me through networking sessions created by student organizations. Because of these internship opportunities, I was able to gain insight to professional work environments and valuable real world experience.

From my college experience I have learn how to be independent. Through UCF I have enjoy college life and made many new friends. I value every lesson that I learn from my classes. I enjoy every moment that I'm here, the proffesors here have made learning an experience and a fun one at that. Even though the works get challenging, I have an amazing time and look forward to each and everyday. thank you for your consideration.

It took me fifteen idle years to finally decide to return to college. I now believe this recent decision has been the best decision I have ever made in my life, so far. As a mature mother and wife, it has been an uphill battle for me. Nevertheless, it is definitely a journey that, as it turns out, I still utterly enjoy. I used to believe that my personal circumstances were preventing me from continuing my education, but I was mistaken. My unsubstantiated fears ruled that period of my life. My college experience has brought out the best in me. Additionally, it has encouraged my daughters to follow in my footsteps.

I have learned that it is never to late to go back to school. I was very worried that I would not be able to keep up, since it had been so long since I had been to school, but there are nothing but compassionate instructers at my school. I want to learn, in fact I enjoy it very much, and will be the first person to graduate anything in my family. I know I will not stop at just a two year degree, I want to keep going until I have received my masters in Social Work. I have a strong desire to help those who are in need, and dedicate my time to helping those who feel they are at a dead end road. I am so blessed with being able to go to school, and hope to only encourage others to go. I value my education, and know that its the only way to be successful.

I am a student whose parent's came from a small island called Haiti, the morals and values they have instilled in me I will forever cherish. I am special because I come from a unique cultural background, however, nothing prepared me for the experience and life-lessons I will eternally carry with me while attending the University of Central Florida. It was a culture shock to say the least. I have met and gained a number of memories; some good and bad, friends, faculty, and most importantly learning the little shortcuts when heading to the library, the student union, and getting from one building to the next that seemed to take an eternity to get to. Nevertheless, attending UCF has taught me to cherish, be confident, and fearless when pursing my goals. I am a proud Knight that will shine amongst the brightest stars; I will be overjoyed to have made mark here at UCF through my volunteerism and participation in student activities. The University of Central Florida will always be a part of my journey, a part of my story.

At first, it was really hard for me to make friends at UCF. The only GenEd classes that were available to me at the time were lecture classes: my smallest class was composed of 300 students. I'm naturally shy, so this just made me feel awkward. The lack of clubs towards creative writing and reading, my favorite hobbies, also hurt my ability to get involved with campus. All it took, however, was one football game. As soon as I walked into the stadium, I could feel the excitement in the air, feel the trembling of the stadium all around me as my fellow classmates pounded upon the bleachers and screamed at the top of their lungs as our Knight regally rode out onto the field upon his mighty Pegasus. The whole experience of my first college football game was so astounding that I knew, then and there, I finally belonged somewhere. Now, I've made a lot more friends since that first week of school, and I'm working on starting up a book club on campus for people like me who just like to read and write. UCF is my home away from home now. Go knights!

More than anything, I've had my eyes opened to what life is like as an independent, responsible person. More than just educated, life at college has taught me valuable lessons for life, some that you might not even expect one would learn; like don't ride a bike downhill in the rain, even if you're on a sidewalk, because you might get hit by a car anyway. But it also taught me the boring necessities, such as how to manage finances and that room and board are expensive, the usual things you expect to learn on your first experience out of the house.
But college is more than just a learning experience, it is conditioning and preparation. Not only has it allowed me to continue doing the only thing I have wanted to do since I was a child, learn, but it has also been a nice introductory step into the real world. I would have hated to learn all of those lessons the hard way.

Going to a 4-year state college I have found independence that is welcomed and quite frightening. I decide how to manage my schedule which includes balancing my social life and academics. My first semester showed me that I am able to make friends and get involved, including attending a nearby church and joining the swim club. I find it easier to get along with strangers and find similarities yet enjoy our differences. With my social life I have also found stability in my academics where I set aside time to study and attend classes all while attaining a 4.0 for my first semester. It also seems that I have broadened my interests while trying to solidify my beliefs and opinions. By attending college I have achieved many things and will continue to find qualities in myself that will help shape who I am in the future while hopefully building relationships that last beyond college.

Attending college is the greatest experience of my life because not only am I getting the opportunity to better myself for my own future, I am learning valuable lessons that I wouldn't be able to experience without. The opportunity to get away from my parents and experience the world for myslef has been very edcational for me in the fact that I now hold my own future in my own hands which helped me realize that I need to start making my own decisions to better myself academically and socially. This responsibility is something that in my years as a child I never realized. From elementary to high school, students academic and social lives are basically planned out for them. Class times are planned to go throughout the day, and time at home is spent with family. But in college, its all diffrent. There is much more down time between classes and after in which you have to make decisions as to what you're going to do with your time. Theese decisions are left with the student, which is why being in college and learning how to make theese decisions has been most valuable experience of my life.

I haven't attended college yet, but I'm sure I will learn a lot and make many friends, if God permits

My college experience has been a very independent. When I was in high school, I had the dream idea that I would go to all the parties, join all the clubs, have the car, etc. I was in for a rude awakening once I discovered that college was not a walk in the park. Forced to take care of myself and pay my own tuition, it began to take a toll on me and my grades. In turn, it caused me to stay in school longer than I had ever wanted to. I began to get discouraged. I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t be like most kids whose parents paid for everything? While I was working, I had to take an evening class. I met this woman who was 51 years old and going back to school. I had explained to her how I felt and she told me that, “Anything worth having; is worth working for---no matter how long it takes”. I learned that no matter how long it takes me to finish anything I start. I’m going to do it. I know it'll be worth having and worth working for.

So far, I havn't been involved in my college enough to give a very well rounded answer but so far the experience has been amazing. I'm a minor in college at only 17 years of age and I like being able to wake up by myself and get to class myself without relying on high school bus systems or car rides from my parents. I feed myself and iIm on a budget so I think that this lifestyle will definitely help me in my future college years as I further my studies and become on an even tighter budget due to tuition. It's definitely a different experience, but the lessons I'm learning are valuable and relative to life outside of college as well.

It is safe to say that my college experience has been life-changing. I had a few rough first semesters at UCF, but thanks to great teachers and advisors I made it through. I started out as a Business major but felt like I was just floating along in all the classes. It wasn't until I joined a professional business fraternity that I realized I did not have the same passion as my peers did for the business world. Surprisingly it was through that organization that I decided I wanted to switch to the field of Education. Everyone was supportive and I was able to stay in the organization because it was open to all majors. Through this organization I learned how to become a better student, met some life-long friends, and even met the love of my life (and fiance).
A real low point hit when my mother passed away this past May. If it wasn't for those friends and supportive teachers/advisors, I don't think I would have made it as far as I did. I will be graduating soon and I couldn't feel any prouder of myself.

I can honestly say that the decision to attend college has been the best one I've made thus far. Sure, college has its ups and downs, and I haven't always performed the best, but the experience is incomparable. It is a relief to be around a community of young people who go through some of the same things I do and are traveling the same road I am to find themselves and to figure out what they want to be in life. This is a great encouragement to me, as I am the first of my mother's children to attend college and never really had that mutual support, ot financial support for that matter. College is your gateway to the real world before getting to the "real" real world. What I mean by that is college will provide you with numerous career opportunities and numerous employment opportunities to prepare you for what you are going to do once you have earned your desired degree. Being in college has taught me that if I really want something, I have to work hard for it and let nothing stop me. It's helping me become a more responsible adult.

I have grown immenseluy from my experiences in college at UCF. I went to UCF for my undergrad degree in Digital Media, and that set the foundation for where I am today. Even then, I had professors that were 120{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} behind me, cocnstantly encouraging me to keep pushing, keep learning, and never losing my sense of curiousity and creativity. That carried me through into my graduate program here at UCF. I am currently enrolled in the Florida Ineractive Entertainment Academy, one of the most well regarded video game programs in the country. Every day, I work with some of the most talented artists and professors I have ever met to work together to create fun and interactive games and media. Its hard work, usually 60 hours a week working, but the students form such a tight knit community and lift each other up. I have grown so much as a person just in the short time I have been here, and I am constantly learning and growing. A FIEA program has exposed me to so many people and opportunities within the community that I would never have had the chance to achieve otherwise.

My college experience has made me grown up as a man and grow stronger in GOD I was really lost and out of sink with myself because I had to start out a community college because I chose to focus on school part time when I should have been a full time student in highschool but once I got to my second year in college it hit me the only persons life im messing up is on my own. Because eveyone that i was friends with were going on there own path and I was still in the same spot doing nothing and I didnt want to be left behind so I wanted to better myself so I can also move on. College has taught me to just to keep moving dont ever stop keep pushing and and keep your head on the dream.

So far I have recieved a new experience and a challange out of my college experiance. It has been intriguing and different all aroud just new. Mostly there are so many things that I never knew that I am just now realizing. It is valueable for me to attend college because I wanna do something important with my life. Be someone; help someone. I am going to college because of my late best friend and I am the first in my family to attend a college, and I am very proud of myself. Yet I am struggling to put myself through community college but I would like to end up in Mercy.

To explore different options regarding what you want to major in. Don't be set on one major. Also helping others out, such as doing volunteer work is emphasized at my school. I have also learned to take responsibility for my actions and have academic integrity.

I have learned that time is valuable because of college. College has shown me how to goggle many things at once in order to be a successful person. Being in college has made me love school. Grade school is about taking general classes in order to graduate, however, college is about finding yourself and taking classes required for a particular major to graduate. I'm excited to attend school everyday and learn about Film, even though, I have to commute 1 hour to and from school. College introduced me to a program that I love and it has given me the opportunity to find myself and do something that I truly enjoy. College is a wonderful experience and it open doors for everyone that attends. College is valuable for young people who are trying to find themselves and to learn new things. I'm happy I have the opportunity to attend college , and I would love the opportunity to also live on campus to enjoy the entire rewards college has to offer. Please, I would value and appreciate the opportunity if I had it. Help me have that opportunity. Thank You.
