Over the past few summers, while being in Upward Bound Math Science, I have had a unique journey here. This summer I took two college classes, and am excited to share my experience. The professors are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to help. Some more than others but they’re always incredible tutors if any extra help is needed! The campus is beautiful, and there are tons of resources available for students, from study hall, to cozy study areas in the student union. The classes are very close within distance and far walks are limited. The campus is surrounded by tons of fast food places, not to mention they have their very own Chick-Fil-A. The dining hall has wonderful workers and a different variety of foods for everyone. Something I value is, whenever walking on campus, if there is any sense of danger, there are emergency buttons you can press to call 911 if you felt any. Extracurricular activities are plentiful, and there's something for everyone. I made lifelong friends and feel truly prepared to take on my freshman semester in the fall.

I have visited the campus once and the people showing you around are happy to share there own experiences on campus.Always cheerful and inviting.The campus always has vist dates open for incoming students that wants to look at the campus.I had people contact me asking if I had any questions about financial aid and they are very helpful and respond back in a timely manner

ULL is a beautiful university. It just full with so much enjoyment. Wholesome people who go there. the best staff who welcome you with as much support you need and more. So much activities to do on the campus. It’s just a dream school to me . One of the best school in the nation.

I love the campus the staff and students that I have met visiting the campus. Everyone is very welcoming and informative I also love the availability of everything on campus. There food is very delicious and a variety is provided at a reasonable cost. I hope to join the raging caguns family after high school.

Currently, I enjoy the university in all aspects. I enjoy always feeling safe walking around and just being able to meet new people everywhere. Classes are always at a good size you're able to connect with your professor in ways other colleges can't provide. I love how their always available for anything and always consider how the students feel and our opinions on things. There are always different events on campus to be apart of and to stay involved in.

The few times I went to visit campus I loved it. Everyone on campus is so welcoming and supportive. It is a wonderful environment to be in, surrounded by amazing people. Anyone who visits will feel so welcomed and appreciated. The people you're surrounded by are so nice, so if there is a chance you feel uncomfortable, then most likely someone will walk up to you to help you adjust. There is always something to do on campus as well, everyone there is very open to making new friends as well. Overall, it's an amazing school in my opinion.

I have had an amazing experience attending the University of Lafayette Louisiana for my entire college career. The campus is beautiful and vibrant, and I have felt completely at home here. The faculty and staff are incredibly friendly and supportive, and the academic resources available to students are top-notch. I am also really impressed by the diversity of the student body and the wide range of extracurricular activities available. I am very excited to continue my education at this university and look forward to many more wonderful years here. I have had some of the best experiences of my life at the University of Lafayette Louisiana. I have made long-lasting friendships, gained invaluable knowledge, and learned how to be an independent thinker. It has provided me with the opportunity to explore my interests and develop new skills while pushing me to reach my highest potential. I have been able to explore different perspectives and make connections between ideas that I might never have made before. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend this university, as it has changed my life in so many ways. The professors and staff have been incredibly supportive, and the leadership and community in this small town have been amazing. I am so proud to have been part of this university and to have had the opportunity to grow and develop during my time here.

My overall opinion of University of Louisiana at Lafayette is that it's very cultured. I love seeing so many different ethnicities and hearing different accents around campus. It's extremely diverse with not only people, but food as well. In the cafeteria there are nights that consist of Mexican food, Asian food, and my favorite, cajun food. My school is located in south Louisiana, so we have a very cultured atmosphere. My favorite time of the year is Lagniappe Day. It is a day full of crawfish, canoeing, and socializing.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette has been a great school to be apart of. Though it is in a small town, the sense of unity and family between fellow peers is what really makes UL shine. The teachers are super helpful and the campus it very clean and beautiful. Overall, being at UL has been a great experience!

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is an overall fun and welcoming environment. From my brief visitations I have been able to see that it’s a place full of culture and diversity. The atmosphere is so friendly and I can’t wait to attend in the fall!

It is a great school, if you want a quality experience with people you can easily get along with. As a music education major, we are given plenty of opportunities to put on events for the student body, and we like to invite everyone we come across. ULL is a solid choice

There are nice professors. Some of them will be nice and allow you to come to office hours, and they will even hold conversations with you just for fun. The others will answer your question then wonder why you are still standing there. Overall it is a good university.

I love it here, it's the perfect distance from home and it was very easy to learn my way around Lafayette. This is a no tobacco campus, but that doesn't stop anyone. I may feel safe enough to tell someone where I am going at night, but my friends rather someone else go with them to make them feel safe. It isn't the biggest campus in Louisiana, but leaving 20-minutes before any class is usually a good idea (30 if the class is on the other side of campus).

My overall opinion of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is that it is a truly amazing university. There are some rather unpopular qualities about the university such as the tuition and fees, but what college doesn't have that. There is a very southern Louisiana home-y feeling to the campus of U.L.L whilst also providing an extraordinary experiecne for students who come to the university for all across the world. If there was one college i would want people to consider coming to in Louisiana if you want to feel like you are surrounded by love and support for anything it is the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

I think overall it is a pretty decent school, the one thing I dislike about it is that with that all the money we pay in tuition they made me buy my own chair because we didn't have enough or if we did then it was to high to sit at the desk and I would be hunched over with my back hurting.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would advise myself to take a year off in between high school and college to travel, work, volunteer and really explore what I liked and wanted to do. I would tell myself to read as much as possible and to talk to people in different professions to discover what career would really fit me best. I would also warn myself that the transition would be hard, that their would be a lot of new people and to take care of myself and get involved in order to make new friends.
Most of my classmates are lazy, inconsiderate, impolite, rude people; but, there are a small amount of students who are kind, couetuous, polite and nice.
I think the size of ULL is just right. I would change the fact that the school is not supported fully by the community. Too much support goes to LSU. There is definitely a lack of school pride on campus and off campus.
I have some professors that know my name but not all, which is completely expected. My favorite class was Theatre 300, it wasn't just about lecture. We had lots of physical learning activities which I think is great! Least favorite classes are the big auditorium lecture classes. Too hard to stay focused in those classes. I think the College of Education is GREAT! The workers in the office are fantastic and always willing to help in any way. Education does a great job on focusing toward getting knowledge provided to students for future jobs.

On campus the school has a swamp with live alligators and wildlife. There are also many stores and companies across the street that offer many job opportunities to the students to help pay for tuition.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The lack of a student ramp park for BMX bikes and skateboards. There are lots of students who BMX and skateboard on campus that would like a free student facility to practice their sport.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
That it is a place where i feel like a part of something. that its not too big, not too small, you get a since of community and belonging here. it feels like home. but better.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The parking is very frustrating. When you need to drive to class, there is never enough available parking spots for the amount of students that attend the university.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
A person who wants to focus solely on their education and getting a perfect score on each test or exam shouldn'r attend this school. Also someone who is not very social should not attend this school and who doesn't like big crowds.
Asian-American, second-generation but Americanized by the Millennial standards, I am currently a first-year student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Originally, I attended the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, but found that the culture was too big for a hometown girl, such as myself. I’m learning the ways of what it is like to become a human adult-child, though I’d prefer to trade places with a house cat some days. When I’m not plotting blueprints in my mind, I’m pondering about who I am and where I am going and how I can inspire those around me to inspire some sort of goodness in their day.
I want to be in a position where I am capable and able to say that I can help someone, be it through charity or simply tipping at the local cafe. I’d like to have my own line of toys one day. One day, it’d be great to give back to children in unfortunate or lesser circumstances, and to provide a safe and encouraging environment that challenges their mind and body. Design is inherent in life; it can make artists or mercenaries out of the ordinary.
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
Many people on campus are laid-back, and interested in the city's culture. There are some enthusiastic students with major school spirit. ULL is often the underdog compared to LSU. Coming from LSU my first semester, I appreciate ULL's atmosphere more. There was too much tiger dick at LSU. I swear, any I turn it's like LSU propaganda clothes the campus.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
