I have gain a lot of maturity out of my college experience so far. As I moved into the residence halls, I learned to handle many problems and situations on my own, without my parents their guiding me every step of the way. Being away from home has allowed me to become an adult and take care of my business.

I have gotten more than I could've possibly imagined out of college. University of Toledo opened my mind about diversity, international problems, and how to think beyond the text. This college is comprised of many foreign students and staff. With communicating with them, I have learned how different the U.S. is from every other part of the world. I have also been exposed to problems in the community as well as the world. Before college I was unaware of many socially damaging problems. For example, one main reason for homelessness was the evacuation of mental hospitals in the 1970's. However, with this knowledge, students can help change these statistics and make Toledo a better place to live. Deep thinking is a quality I can credit to my philosophy teacher. She taught me to instead of looking at the problem, find out why the problem exists. Therefore, you can treat the real problem, not just the symtom. I can apply this to many situations in my future. Overall, my college experience has changed who I am. I am more aware of my actions and more prepared for my future than ever before.

I have learned many valuable lessons towards my career out of my college experience. I have learned how to work with others in a business environment in Massage Therapy school. How to have proper business etiquette and how to be professional. I have learned to be passionate and concerning like healthcare professionals should be. I have learned to run businesses smoothly. College has been valuble to attend because I would not have learned how businesses run or how patients respond to problems in the hospitals or in massage spas had I not gone to Greenville Technical College. I would not have learned how to handle difficult patients and how to a patient healthcare provider. I am glad that I was taught how to be professional and patient for those who really did need my loving care just as I would want someone to care for me.

I have gained so much from going away to college instead of going to a community college. I have met the most amazing people, and I also have grown up and matured greatly. I am learning so much and cannot wait to go to graduate school. Coming here just makes me want to succeed. I know I can do well on my own, and can handle stress and anything that is thrown at me thanks to college. I would recommend to anyone to go away to college and into the "real world".

During my Community College experience I have attained knowlege that I never even thought I would be interested in. During the long two year process, it has given me time to really think about life and my purpose of being here. I felt there had to be a good reason I didnt want to just jump into the University life like everyone else and just take time at home to really find out who I was. Thanks to Tarrant County College and there wonderful array of teachers and staff I know who I am and what Im capable of doing.

through college I have learned more about music than I ever thought possible. I can not wait to learn more. I believe this is valuable because I can use what I am learning to help others learn about the amazing joys of music.

My college experience has given me the oppurtunity to broaden my horizons, and learn so many new things. When I first came to the University, I was afraid to get out and experience anything. I was the type of person to go to class, eat at the dining hall and come back to my dorm. I never wanted to meet new people or try going beyond my comfort zone. But as soon as I got into some positive groups with some positive people it really helped with puling me out of my shell. I was able to talk to more people and become more comfortable with just being me. It also helped me make better choices with my school work because the people I was hanging with were doing well in school, and in order to fit in I had to follow the same trend. Being apart of these groups has given me leadership skills, and taught me how to deal with people. They have also taught me to learn and juggle classes with my extra activities. It has been very well worth it to be a student here at UT and I know this is just the beginning!

By being here in the University of Toledo, I've gotten and learned alot. Going to classes were good. My first year wasn't as I expected it would be, but it was cool. When I first started school, I met new friends. I had more friends in college than back home. The classes didn't even seem hard. People always told me "college is very hard your first year", and I believed them. I learned alot of things like managing money, being independent, and learning how to cope with my roomates. This is valuable to attend because I met new people that are my friends, the classes are close to my dorm and now I feel like I'm capable of living on my own.

I would tell myself that I need to look at what I need early and not wait to the last minute. Make sure you know what you have to do to be able to apply to different colleges. I would make sure I knew what I was getting myself into and if it would save me any money by doing what I thought was saving money. Its better to start early than wait to the last minute. I have learned what to do and what not to do. Its helped me to go to a smaller school, but it would have saved money if I had stayed at home and not moved off to get my basics
