I think that it a very diverse and inclusive campus. The campus is a good size and has lots of opportunities for students to pursue whatever they may want to. There are lots of ways for students to get involved with the school. Also, it sounds like the students live football games as much as they did when they were in high school.

I believe that the University of Toledo provides many students with the time, resources, and access to succeed in their field of study. The campus is very comfortable and welcoming, especially to visitors and freshman students. There is something that everyone would be interested in: whether that be the stores and restaurants, the writing room and library, or the study rooms and wonderful staff that make you feel part of the family. Plus it is safe for falcons because their bell tower does not use a bell for the ringing sound because the bell hurts the ears of the falcons that have their nest in the tower.

I personally really like UT. I grew up in Erie, Michigan, so I have been around Toledo my entire life. While I am not a huge fan of Toledo, this area of it seems very nice. It seems safe, and there are many stores and restaurants around. I have visited their medical center on two different high school field trips, both for the cadaver lab. They have an incredible medical program, great students/tour guides, and tons of hands on learning, which I think will be beneficial for me.

I feel like Toledo is a great school, that has a lot to offer. First the offer amazing internship opportunity. if you choose to attend Toledo rest assured that you will be set up with the best possible internship. After Graduation you can also expect to have a nice job waiting for you if you applied yourself during your years attending Toledo.

I was introduced to the University of Toledo while on a school trip with half of my senior class. When I stepped off the bus, I immediately noticed how pristine the campus appeared. One of the first buildings we entered was the library, and I could tell that students took study time seriously based on the silence. We walked through the eating area, and I appreciated the warm atmosphere it gave. Finally, I was amazed at the size of the gymnasium and the pool.

I think that UT is a school that people who live in the state/in Toledo speak poorly about fairly often, just because it is close to home. It does have some great aspects about it, such as football games being a big deal with a fairly good team (if you're into that sort of thing) and specific programs that are very well run. The campus is also fairly nice with a rec center and open space for sports. It definitely lacks in the arts, as it's mostly focused on its engineering/science/mathematics programs, but there are still options to partake in those programs/organizations if desired.

My opinion of the University of Toledo may match my peers, but that's not necessarily a negative thing. The University of Toledo has great options for many people. For me, the luring factors is their campus life and environment, the music program, the classroom environment and academic priorities, and the sports and extracurricular involvement. This school looks and feels amazing! I'm excited to see where my future takes me, especially at a school like University of Toledo.

I do love the school, there is a lot to do and learn, and there is plenty of people to meet. In my personal experiences the campus is a safe place to be they work hard and do what they can to make sure you feel safe. But there have been some times that i have felt unsafe and have been given no help nor sympathy toward my issue from professors specifically, making it harder to go to the right people about the situation. There's everything you would find in any other school good professors not so good professors, and plenty of activities to experience and meet new people at. There's also tons of clubs and extracurriculars you can join to make your experience better.

The University of Toledo is a fantastic school. Having lived near Toledo, the school atmosphere is definitely a lot different than the outside city atmosphere. There is always someone on campus who is willing to help you with whatever it is you may need. The professors here only want you to succeed and continue to better yourself. UT is always striving to make improvements and increase retention rates. All while maintaining a fun and supportive learning environment. One of the biggest reasons I chose to attend UT was not only for its sporting events, but its wide range of diversity. You are sure to make friends from all over the world here! I am proud to say that I attend the University of Toledo.

The greek life is amazing but the school itself is not that great. The faculty seem to have little care for students and the same applies to the administration. They seem to be in it just for the money. The university has handled the COVID-19 situation horribly and I have lost so much respect for this school. If it was not for the BACC2MD pre-medical program and greek life, I would have transferred a while ago. The professors are awful!!!

University of Toledo's campus provides students with very accessible professors who are willing to establish connections between students and other professionals, and many are hands-on instructors. Some facilities need updating and it seems like some programs are overlooked and not paid enough attention (i.e. women and gender studies) and therefore they are housed in the oldest and dirtiest buildings. Food variety and choices are okay, but for those living on campus, it is especially hard to be satisfied.

On-campus is very cozy and safe. One step off-campus and the neighborhoods are extremely unsafe. There is not anything to do in Toledo. Many students have never even been downtown. Academically, the school is subpar. Courses are not rigorous in the college of business whatsoever. The sports are high quality, but not many students go to games, except football. That is mostly just to tailgate, though.

The University of Toledo instantly feels like home walking in. People are so sweet and welcoming left and right, you're never alone cause there is someone always there if you need help or if you dont. The staff at the University really try and help make your year the greatest they can. People are always so kind and always going out of there way to lend a helping hand. The environment is great, its a very nice and clean campus. Im so excited to start this fall.

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at University of Toledo?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for University of Toledo is 94%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Take a chance. Go somewhere that fits you, but be willing to take a stance and step outside of your comfort zone. Universities have so much to offer to the students who seek those chances. Faculty are really just good friends with lots of knowledge. Get involved, live on campus as long as you can. Don't depend on your car. And don't date someone from high school.. expand your network and watch the horizons grow... You just never know how small this world really is until you live it.

  3. Describe the students at your school.

The classmates here at the University of Toledo are very friendly, and will treat new students well. If a student misses a class, others will help them out as long as you ask politely, and are not asking too much of the other student. However, in class and out of class can be different. Outside of the classroom setting it is somewhat difficult for someone to make friends. Most people come here with friends from their High Schools and tend to stick with the same friends. Other than that, the people here are great and it is a friendly place.

  7. What kind of person should not attend this school?

I would say if you don't have patience or you would like an extremely large college, then I would not suggest this school to you. This campus is a pretty nice size, but their are bigger schools out there for those who don't want to feel confined to smaller spaces. As for patience, I would say you need it if your going to deal with the financial system at the University of Toledo.

I wish I would have known that their Honors program with the psychology department was not worth all the work and tears put in. 14. What is your overall opinion of this school?

The actual size of UT’s student population seems to be just right. From class sizes to campus events, comfortable amounts of people are always present. I believe that there is somewhat of a negative image associated with UT because of the area surrounding it. The campus community, in my opinion, is completely different from the area around it, much like many other colleges. I wish that more of the Toledo community felt a bond with the campus, not just faculty and staff. To many members of the Toledo community, UT is viewed as just another business and sometimes as a completely separate city.

Most of my professors seem to know my name and I communicate with many of them on a daily basis. When it comes to the education of a student, the academic opportunities are endless. However, a student can only take advantage of these opportunities if they choose to do so, it will not happen on its own.

The greek community at UT is the largest grouping of organizations on campus. The one stereotype that comes to mind is the fact that we have a lot of diversity on campus. Also, since Toledo is such a big city, a lot of people think that it's just a commuter school.

  19. What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

The stereotype of the students at my school is that everyone is only here because they got money to come here or because they didn't get into another school. While there is some truth to be found here, it doesn't matter because your education at UT is what you make it and can be just as valuable at another state school in Ohio. If you work hard, you will succeed and UT has the potential to excel you into a valuable job market or a quality graduate school.
