The overall environment of the campus was clean and welcoming. They seemed to offer something for everyone and are very generous in helping their students. The academic option I want to pursue would need to be a direct continuation of my dual enrollment through Edison, and Wright State has that option with definite transfers of credit that will make the process much easier.

What attracts me to Wright State University-Main campus it is a campus that gives the comfort of home! My maternal grandfather and grandmother both graduated from Wright State University. Also, my maternal uncle did as well. My other uncle met his wife at Wright State University! They have been married 6 years and 2 kids later! When my family and I went on tour fall of 2024, it felt just right! The professors talked to all of the parents on the tour about class expectations, career possibilities post-graduation and advancement opportunities in technology. Also, the incoming freshman got a chance to talk to current business major students about the different careers post-college. In addition, they talked to us about time management and how to manage academic and social life at college. I really loved the fact the college suite-style dorms with private bathrooms at a standard double rate. Wright State University is close to a lot of restaurants, grocery and retail stores that will allow me to work part-time while going to school. The food at Wright State tasted just right! It tasted like food from home! I am too excited to attend Wright State University in the Fall 2025!

Wright State University was my first college pick. I fell in love with the campus and ultimately chose this college because of the community feel, the feeling of being in a small-town right on the campus. The campus itself, to me feels like a rural town where everything is in the heart of the main street, so to speak. The campus also includes underground tunnels to get you where you need to go within the majority of the campus, without the weather playing a part (and in Ohio,,, you never know what Mother Nature has going on, hour to hour and sometimes minute to minute). WSU has over 200 offered activities that will for sure allow me to meet friends and be a part of the whole experience. All the previous mentions are just in addition to the fact they have the courses of my desired major and minor. Go Raiders!!!

As a high school senior considering my college options, I recently had the opportunity to visit Wright State University’s campus, and I was really impressed with what I saw. The campus is spacious and beautiful, with lots of green spaces that create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. I loved how it felt like a real college campus but still had a manageable size that didn’t feel overwhelming. It’s definitely a place where students can feel connected but also have the space to grow independently.
The academic buildings are modern and well-maintained, which made me feel confident that I’d have access to great resources and technology. The library, in particular, stood out to me. It has tons of quiet study spaces and also group areas where students can collaborate on projects. Since I plan to study in a field that requires a lot of research, I can see myself spending a lot of time there!
Wright State's campus life seems very active and inclusive. I noticed a variety of clubs and activities that appeal to different interests, whether it's academic organizations, cultural clubs, or recreational sports. It feels like there’s something for everyone, which is reassuring as I think about making connections and building friendships in college.
For prospective students like me who are thinking about living on campus, the residence halls seemed like a good fit too. They are well-kept, and the dining options looked great, with both healthy and traditional meals available.
Overall, my visit to Wright State University left me feeling excited about the possibility of attending. The campus is not only beautiful and practical, but it also offers a supportive and vibrant community that I think would make for a great college experience.

Wright State University is a very accepting and diverse community. You will never feel out of place in this space. Everyone is very open minded and the environment is always welcoming. All of the staff on campus is amazing and always thrives to do their best to meet students needs.

I love the atmosphere of campus the moment I stepped onto it 4 years ago! It immediately felt like home and theyre were so many events to get us invovled. I love everything from how close the shops are to how helpful my professors can be. I always talk highly of the school but I also believe there is always room for improvement.

I like it and I look forward to starting my classes there in the fall. There are a variety of people from different backgrounds and a number of friendly students who are eager to make and meet new friends. As well as very intelligent people who I'd like to align myself with

One of the best choices I made is coming here. Wright State University had even helped me with my college credit plus classes when I had trouble! Since studying at Wright State, I have met a variety of students and teachers that I wish to imitate in my future.

My experience with Wright State since the 2020-2021 school year has been extremely disappointing. I spent 99% of my time at home on my computer whilst paying tuition partly to keep the building running that I can't even use. At-home learning for the entire first year of college also meant that I had very little chances to build friendships and experience the "fun" that comes with being in college.
Don't come to Wright State if you expect to find a community of ethical, positive, friendly people. The college instead has a culture of drinking and partying. The few times I was able to experience WSU in person, I quickly learned that the community at this college is one of its biggest downsides.
Many of the professors are strictly there for a paycheck and aren't available outside of their scheduled hours. Many are more worried about their students cheating than they are about teaching them well. About half of the professors are too hard to understand because of their thick accents, which creates an additional barrier to learning- especially online. I am often left believing that these professors care minimally about their job.
Next, for a college that acts as if it cares about diversity, there is very little of it. Politically, nearly everyone on campus shares the same political views. The alternate is often not tolerated. The school is almost 75% white. International students make up about 1% of the students at this school, and you will rarely find a student from a different state.
As a person with minority political views, an extroverted personality, and a halfway decent sense of morals, I actively encourage friends and family to avoid Wright State at all costs. It may be the cheapest option (which has kept me going there) but with that comes the cheapest professors, an awful community, and a negative impact on the students that attend.

I feel that Wright State is a very good college but my experience in the nursing program made me feel otherwise. I was a nursing student this past semester and I changed my major. I had sat on this decision for a while, but what finally made my decision was that the advisors in the nursing program are not helpful. I feel the campus itself is good and many other programs are much more welcoming and helpful, but the nursing program is not very good and the staff is not very helpful.

My mother works at Wright State and my two sisters graduated from there. It's a very nice school. There is a lot of choices and students mainly do not reside on campus as it is very accessible to the commuting student. I am interested in becoming a Physician's Assistant and minoring in Art. In my senior year, I was one of 14 regional winners in the country of the Visionary Art award.

It's a pretty good school. Lately we have had a lot going on in terms of administration changes and strikes within the last year or so. However, they have a great liberal arts and education program, and there is a lot to do in the surrounding area. WSU is right down the street from a mall and a chain of outlets, as well as right by a major highway ramp. Easily accessible and lots to do in the area.

The campus itself is pretty boring, you need to know where to look in order to have fun. There also isn't much to do in the area but we make it work. Overall it's an average campus. We all just wish that most dining options on campus didn't close by 7pm , and that the good ones didn't close by 3pm.

It is a very nice campus and I enjoy the fact that it is a smaller campus. There are plenty of places to grab food on or around campus. The classes are smaller for the most part and it's super easy to reach most professors outside of class. I have not had a bad experience with a professor. There are plenty of places to live around campus if you don't prefer on campus housing as well.

Wright State University is a great place to get the degree you want. With professors almost always available, multiple extra-curricular activities and sororities and fraternities to choose from, along with groups and clubs that are waiting to readily accept you into their family, WSU is one big happy family. They're dedicated to getting you through your chosen degree so you can excel at your future career. Go Raiders!

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
When choosing a college, parents and students should look at a variety of different campuses. I wish I had looked more into the colleges I had applied to and even applied to more colleges than I had. The right college isn't always about if your friends will be there or not. It's important to pick the one that is right for YOU and also your major. It is also important to pick a college with in a safe and nice area. This is where you will be staying for several years, so you better enjoy the place you're living at.
To make the most of your college experience you need to be outgoing. Don't be afraid to get involved with different school activites. It is also important to learn your views on different moral issues because every college student is faced with hard decisions. Also, don't forget to study hard and not party all the time. It's easy to take college for granted if you don't take it seriously.
The best thing about Wright State is it's small campus. It is hard to get lost and I see a lot of people I know from my classes. The people and the campus are like a little community.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
I believe that the availability of resources makes my school very unique. As well as the commitment to serve the community and advancements in educational programs. We have some excellent resources and facilities for Business, Art and Science majors. Even if you do not major in those areas it is enevitable you will take a class that utilizes the resources and facilities.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
One of the things that I wish i had known before I came to this school was the classes they offer in different quarters. For an example, if i want to take a food biology class, i have to wait till spring quarter to register. I wish i knew that what classes were availiable in winter, spring, and fall.
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
There are stereotypes at my school. There are the athletic jocks, the theater kids, the science geeks, the work -out buffs, and many more. These stereotypes are not accurate because when you think about it, we're all so similar. We are students, working towards a goal, and hoping to succeed.
I enjoy Wright State because it's not too big, but also not too small. I use the tunnels almost everyday which is very convenient for me. When I tell people I go to Wright State they say, "You mean WRONG State!" I just laugh at them and say, "No, it just Wright for me!" There's a lot of people with school pride here. You'd think students here would where more OSU attire to classes but they do not. So far I don't have a memorable moment at Wright State but I know I soon will.
My favorite class, as of now ,would be Anatomy & Physiology. My major is Athletic Training major so this class is of very interest to me. Professors know my name in each class. Students are very competitive (mainly in small classes). I believe the academic requirements are attainable if students work hard non-stop to achieve success. I would say the education at this school is geared more toward learning, and then eventually getting a job falls right into place.
