Greek Life is increasingly strong, however there is an element of the "club" lifestyle. People often separate these two, but they are the two strongest party realms, and many people overlap both

Social life revolves a lot around D.C., with a heavy bar and club scene. Greek life is very fun, but we can't have parties in the fraternity and sorority houses because they are University owned, which provides for a somewhat unique Greek experience.

Good social scene, greek isn't huge but has a great presence on campus

Sororities and Fraternities play major roles in social life here at GW, but there are many other ways to be social without being involved directly with Greek life. There are many different outlets here in Foggy Bottom and Georgetown that offer a broad range of social activities.

The dating scene at GW is pitiful. All the girls at GW are 50 times prettier than the boys at GW, therefore the same group of attractive guys at GW has been with every girl, can get any girl he wants, and knows it. The Greek system at GW is a perfect example of this. Girls from the same soroities end of up gettign with the same guys, because the options are so limited. Even when you do find a good guy to date, the odds are almost 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} that he has hooked up with 2-3 people you know personally. Everyone here drinks like a fish. You virtually have nothing to do if you do not have a fake ID. Tuesdays are a great going out night, along with Thursdays. Fridays and Saturdays varry, some are awesome, some can be lame. I love to go to Georgetown bars, whereas the other half of the school loves to spend a grand on a table at the greasiest club in DC. My favorite part about GW is how the kids that love to flaunt their money and talk their shit are the trashiest people in these clubs and bars. Have some class, if you were raised with any.

greek life is a big deal here but you can get involved with just about any student org and find your niche.

Fraternities and sororities have been steadily gaining in importance at GW. They now basically run the SA, which is nice because I'm a Greek, but also unrealistic. Most dorm students leave their doors unlocked, but probably not open. Security to get into dorms is very tight. The dating scene is very lopsided. The ratio of guys to girls is something like 40:60, and probably half the guys are gay. Not exaggerating. So if you're a guy, the dating scene is pretty freaking sweet. If you're awake at 2am you're either studying or shitfaced. Athletic events are not particularly popular, especially because we don't have a football team. People party pretty often. On the weekends we drink. During football season we also watch football while drinking. If you're not drinking you're probably watching a movie in Georgetown
