What are the most popular student activities/groups?

Lauren

I went through sorority rush and dropped in the end, but even though I am not in a sorority I don't feel left out. There is still plenty I can do and I can even hang out with my friends who are in sororities or fraternities and not feel out of place. A lot of people go to the bars downtown on Wednesday nights. It's definitely the place to be. There are a lot of choices as far as bars, you can go dance or just sit and drink. There is also a lot to do if the bar scene is not for you. There is a bowling alley and a movie theater. The mall in Opelika is not far from downtown either. I know myself and people I know go to Atlanta a lot for shopping or Braves games and it is only an hour and a half away. There are always a lot of house parties in Auburn. That is probably the biggest thing to do during spring because during football season fraternities have band parties and everyone goes. As far as clubs, there is one for everyone. I was involved in Mat Cats last year where I was a hostess for the wrestling team. I also worked for the Glomerata, Auburn's yearbook. Anything and everything you love to do, there is a group for you.
