FIT is diverse and creative. It fosters a liberal and open-minded environment that is highly focused on hands-on/real-world industry experience. It is constantly connected to what's happening in the industry by being in touch with alumni, companies looking for interns/future employees, and by employing professors who are still working within their industry. FIT is hightly focused on after-graduation job placement and has a high success rate in doing so.

I love the location and everything the city has to offer. Even though there aren't as many school activities, career opportunities, or good cafeteria food there is plenty of it surrounding the campus.

The most frustrating thing about my school is that i am only allowed a maximum of 21 credits per semester. I wish i had more time to attend more classes and learn more from their wonderful program.

What is your overall opinion of this school?
If you come with ability and desire the resources are here. If you're coming primarily to party or go to frat events or football games go to Ohio State. To be in New York where it is all happening is incredible because of the interplay with people doing professionally and internationally the things you are studying.

The stereotype of students at The Fashion Institute of Technology are students that are just super artsy and really into fashion. Which is entirely true. This is the perfect school to immerse yourself with people with the same interest and passions that you have. You will have an opportunity to meet friends who will inspire and challenge you and help you grow as an individual.
