Other participating states are Arkansas and Alabama.

Kentucky offers an in-state tuition program to cover college costs. For instance, the KY Saves 529 is the state's tuition saving's program or 529 plan. It is an investment account to encourage saving for your future education. The 529's tax benefits have tax-free withdrawals and tax deferred growth. Also, the plan covers the following school expenses: tuition, fees, computers, books, room and board.
